Aluminium Light Panel Accreditation

About the Course

What does the course entail?

​

This programme is designed to train the technician to EN ISO 10042:2005 standards for Aluminium Light Panel Accreditation.

​

This programme provides an expert level service package in terms of:

  • advice,

  • materials,

  • assessment,

  • maintenance,

  • service,

  • Personal Protective Equipment,

  • certification

  • instruction.

​

This allows the technician to complete various repairs, for example replacing the likes of a quarter or back panel, covering a thickness range of 0.75 to 2.25 mm.

​

EQUIPMENT INTEGRITY

​

 

All current aluminium repair equipment, welders, extraction and tools will be audited to meet manufacturers specifications, that they are in current working order and serviced at regular intervals. Stanners will check and advise on the available Personal Protective Equipment assigned to each technician to allow the customer to meet audit requirements.

•Achievement of Manufacturer’s requirements for authorised technicians to carry out Aluminium Light Panel repair techniques for audit purposes.

•Accepted by BS10125 as an aluminium welding qualification.

What are the key elements of the programme?

​

•Measurement of technicians competence in Aluminium Light Panel welding and use of correct Personal Protective Equipment.

​

•Assessment of the authorised welding area and its equipment relevant to specifications and requirements.

 

The audit and test procedure are designed so that technicians are trained and assessed to a competent level for aluminium light panel welding to manufacturers requirements and use correct personal protective equipment.

​

How long is the Certificate valid for?

​

The audit will be carried out annually, Stanners will carry out re-certification on all technicians that have achieved the initial Aluminium Light Panel Accreditation . To ensure continuing competence, technicians will be asked to submit a weld test plate every three months.

​

How long does the course take?

​

The course takes approximately 1 day.

​

​

Individual technicians can be charged for or we can do a day rate or half a day rate.
